Business Analyst

Due to continued growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Analyst / Finance Business Analyst within a market leading Ecommerce organisation.
Working out of the London headquarters, the Finance Analyst / Finance Business Analyst will be responsible for providing value added commercial decision support proactively and analysis reactively along with commentary relating to financial performance, to ensure that the profitability and performance of the organisation is maximised at all levels throughout the business.
The Finance Business Analyst's day-to-day requirements will cover:
- Assisting the business with understanding financial and margin drivers
- Developing forecasting tools to aid consistent forecasting across the business
- Undertake modelling and analysis of markdowns, discounts and promotions to identify opportunity and target activity and spend
- Undertake ROI and margin analysis to provide decision support for marketing and CRM activity
- Define and carry out data modelling and trend/gap analysis to provide insightful sales analysis and recommendations along with timely, effective commentary into financial reports (Daily, Weekly and Monthly)
- Prepare NPV and ROI calculations for large capex spend
- Develop post implementation review processes to assess the contribution of authorised investment and business development opportunities
- Provide expertise in the areas of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
- Support the FD and MD with ad hoc project and report/data modelling requests
To be suitable for this role, the Finance Business Analyst / Finance Analyst will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified and can demonstrate proven experience within a financial analysis / Commercial Finance team within the Ecommerce / Online Retail Industry.
