Transmission Engineer - SDH / PDH / DWDM - Berkshire
A number of experienced Transmission Engineer's are urgently required by our global telco client at the forefront of the industry.
Working as part of a fast paced and demanding NOC, the successful NOC / Network Engineer will act as the point of contact for clients ensuring satisfaction and quality control regarding the technology of the network. Other responsibilities include monitoring system/service performances and diagnoses problems, providing 1st line support, liaising with the network and provisioning operation as request.
With a track record gained within the telecoms / ISP industry, you MUST have experience working as a faults/diagnostic engineer within a fast paced NOC / NMC. You will be a hands on engineer and understand the complexities of problems that may arise. It is essential that your expertise covers SDH, PDH and DWDM networks and ideally with Nortel, Marconi, Transmode and/or Ciena. Knowledge/experience using Remedy Trouble Ticket Systems to manage faults is advantageous.
You will be highly ambitious with superb communications skills, and be confident in your ability to drive workshops to extract the core requirements to deliver effective technology solutions across the business.
