Programme / Portfolio Assurance Manager urgently required by leading FTSE100 organisation in London.
My client is currently going through a period of exciting and challenging change and currently has over 100+ Business Change, IT & Regulatory Projects totalling over £100m in capital expenditure. Working closely with the Head of Programme Delivery and the CIO, the Programme Delivery Assurance Manager will be responsible for a establishing a credible delivery capability across the business, driving to time / cost and quality parameters.
Core Responsibilities:
· Establish and maintain portfolio governance. Ensuring all portfolio initiatives are either "in governance" or escalated as "issues known to management".
· Create a "portfolio view" of delivery risk; provide reports, together with a supporting road map for achieving governance.
· Improve decision making through the delivery of accurate and reliable portfolio information
· Offer a responsive service as a trusted partner, pragmatically tailoring delivery methods and approach
· Reduce the cost to deliver through better resource management and in-house intellectual capital
· Proactive delivery assurance reducing surprises and project slippage
· Establish key performance indicators / scorecard to assess delivery capability including delivery resource, outsourced contracts, supplier engagement, testing and systems integration, implementation, service introduction and application maintenance.
Key Experience:
· Experience of portfolio programme and project end-to-end delivery
· Experience of governance methods and techniques; development and implementation of project deliverables, policies, processes and standards.
· Experience of project/programme methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, RUP & AGILE
· Ability to deliver assurance over multiple projects (15+ projects)
· Proven track record in risk and portfolio analytics
· Experience of managing offshore/3rd party suppliers
